Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club After School and Summer Programming

The after school and summer programming is meant to assist youth from specific neighborhoods in achieving academic success.

Program Overview

Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club’s (GSGBC) offers after school and summer programs for youth in St. Louis. The youth members participating must reside in neighborhoods of Dutchtown, Gravois Park, Mt. Pleasant, or Bevo Mill. Youth participating in GSGBC receive support with on-on-one or group setting homework and tutoring services, art programs, sports, health lessons, college and career readiness activities. Additionally, youth are provided trauma-informed care services which include social-emotional lessons in group settings.

The program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

Program Eligibility

The program serves youth aged 6 to 16 who are residents of the City of St. Louis.
