Office of Violence Prevention Events

OVP events build community through celebration, resources, and creating safe spaces.

About OVP Events

Communities are the foundation in building a safer St. Louis. The City of St. Louis Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) is committed to help building community by hosting events that invite neighborhoods to come together. At these events, OVP ensures that residents have access to community resources that address violence prevention, behavioral health, conflict mediation/deescalation, trauma, youth programs, and more.

The events that OVP sponsors target high priority neighborhoods that are often underserved and impacted by violence. The goal of OVP events are to create a catalyst for community members to make connections and build safe spaces that continue to promote community engagement and revitalization.

OVP Kickback Events
Kickback events provide a safe space for residents, and help raise awareness of violence prevention and intervention resources.

OVP Peace Walks
Peace walks bring together community members to march for peace in the City of St. Louis.
