Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC)

The BRIC program focuses on bridging care between emergency services and long-term trauma recovery for those suffering from bullet related injury, including guardians and caregivers who were not directly impacted by the bullet.

Program Overview

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) bridges care between emergency services and long-term trauma recovery for those suffering from a bullet related injury. Services are provided to assess and tailor treatment to individuals in response to pain, wounds, bullets (still in the body), limited range of movement, sleep disruption, emotional distress, grief, and social stress. The BRIC’s services and supplies are completely free of cost, including transportation services that transport patients to and from appointments (located at the BRIC).

After a patient’s initial visit to the clinic, patients can engage in holistic services that include: social care, mental wellbeing and therapy, play therapy for children, massage therapy, acupuncture, physical function services, and social support. In addition to bullet related injury care, the BRIC offers free Community First Responder Training to provide pratical skills needed to respond to shootings. Training is available every first Monday of the month at the Delmar Divine: 5501 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63112.
