St. Louis Public Safety Collaborative
The St. Louis Public Safety Collaborative is a group of community members who tailor crime prevention strategies to each neighborhood.
Program Overview
The St. Louis Public Safety Collaborative (STLPSC) is a group of community stakeholders overseen by the Urban League of St. Louis. The program aims to reduce violent crime and enhance public safety by co-producing comprehensive, dynamic, and effective crime prevention strategies tailored to each neighborhood.
The STLPSC explores community-driven approaches to resolve or reduce harm in high risk areas of the City of St. Louis, empowering neighborhood residents to co-create equitable public safety strategies through data analyses tailored to local problems.
They leverage data, analytics, and community engagement to effectively address crime and social challenges while prioritizing transparency, sustainability, and social equity. This collaborative employs data-informed strategies to tackle local safety concerns and foster shared responsibility among their partners.
The program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The program is operated by Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc.: https://www.ulstl.com/
