Alaska Airlines Begins Non-Stop Service to Portland

Starting today, Wednesday, May 13, Alaska Airlines starts non-stop service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) to Portland International Airport (PDX).  This direct service to PDX is the airlines second destination from STL to the Pacific Northwest. The airline already provides non-stop service to Seattle, Washington.

“This new service to Portland, Oregon allows travelers in our region to fly directly into the ‘City of Roses,’” says STL CEO and Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge. “This hidden gem located in the shadow of Mount Hood has a thriving art, theater, and music scene. Then add to all of these attractions the area’s prominent microbreweries and Portland will become an impressive new destination for many in our region.”   

“We’re thrilled to connect guests in St. Louis to Alaska’s growing hub in Portland with nonstop service,” said Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at Alaska Airlines. “Beyond exploring everything Portland has to offer, this new route will enable seamless connections to the Hawaiian Islands as well as Asia and the South Pacific. In addition to the existing daily flights to Seattle, we look forward to providing guests in St. Louis another option to experience the award-winning care Alaska is known for.”

For the service to Portland, Oregon, Alaska Airlines will operate a daily flight into and out of STL, seven days a week. This service will initially operate from mid-May (May 13, 2026) to early October (October 2, 2026). The daily flight from Portland (Alaska Airlines Flight 338) will arrive at STL at 4:37 p.m. The flight to Portland (Alaska Airlines Flight 337) will depart the airport at 5:33 p.m. daily.

This flight will operate using the airline’s 737-9 Max. Alaska Airlines also provides seasonal service from STL to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. In 2026, the Puerto Vallarta flights ran from January to April.
