Changes reflect Christmas and New Year holidays, end of growing season

The trash/recycling collection schedule will be adjusted to accommodate the Christmas Day observance on Monday, December 26, 2011, and the New Year holiday on Monday, January 2, 2012.Week of December 26, 2011
Residents who normally have their trash and/or recycling collected on Monday and Thursday will have their trash and/or recycling collected on Tuesday, December 27th and Thursday, December 29th.
Residents who normally have their trash and/or recycling collected on Tuesday and Friday will have their trash and/or recycling collected on Wednesday, December 28th and Friday, December 30th.
Week of January 2, 2012
Residents who normally have their trash and/or recycling collected on Mondays and Thursdays will have their trash and/or recycling collected on Tuesday, January 3rd and Thursday, January 5th, 2012.
Residents who normally have their trash and/or recycling collected on Tuesdays and Fridays will have their trash and/or recycling collected on Wednesday, January 4th and Friday, January 6th, 2012.Monthly Yard Waste Pickup
During the winter months, yard waste will be collected monthly from the yard waste alley dumpsters on the same week as the bulk pick-up. Residents with roll-out carts may request a special pickup by calling the Refuse Division at (314) 353-8877. Bags of yard waste should not be put in the carts.Weekly yard waste collection will resume March 7, 2012.
