CITY LIBRARY PARTNERS WITH HOOPLA DIGITAL TO GIVE PATRONS ONLINE AND MOBILE ACCESS TO FREE MOVIES, TV SHOWS, MUSIC, AND AUDIOBOOKS

The St. Louis Public Library is proud to announce that the public now has FREE mobile and online access to thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, and audiobooks thanks to its new partnership with hoopla digital.

St. Louis Public Library cardholders can now download the FREE hoopla digital mobile app to their Android or iOS device by visiting the library's website or hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles from major Hollywood studios and record companies. The materials are available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets, computers, and Apple TV.

"Throughout its 150-year history, the St. Louis Public Library's mission has been to provide resources that improve the community. Our new partnership with hoopla digital does just that," said Rob Tygett, Manager of Digital Library Services for the St. Louis Public Library. "We're enthusiastically embracing the digital revolution by adopting new services that keep our patrons connected when they're on-the-go. All they need is a valid library card to access this content at slpl.org. There's no waiting period for hot titles, and hoopla's automatic return means there are no late fees. The best part is that it's absolutely free!"

The St. Louis Public Library is the fourth library system in the state of Missouri to partner with hoopla digital. Others include St. Louis County Library, Camden County Library, and Kansas City Public Library.

"With hoopla digital, it is our mission to help public libraries meet the needs of the mobile generation. We've worked for years to create a best-in-breed service that is fun, fast, and reliable. And we continue to secure content deals to expand the offering of movies, TV shows, music and audiobooks," said Jeff Jankowski, founder and owner of hoopla digital.
