Nutrition Services Educates Dietetic Colleagues

Members of the dietetic associations in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas came together to expand their dietetic knowledge at the MINK Conference April 4th - 6th.  Nutrition Services' Lauren Landfried and Lori Jones were able to attend and learn more about emerging issues within and about the field of nutrition and dietetics.  Both dietitians also had the opportunity to share their expertise with colleagues from the four states.

Jones presented on behalf of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Diversity Committee.  She shared some of the resources available to Academy members to assist them in enhancing their cultural competence as they work with diverse patients and clients.  She also held a drawing for two of the Academy's most popular cultural references books.

Meanwhile, Landfried presented the poster "Using Technology for Cost Effective Health Promotion and Marketing."  Many colleagues consulted her on how their organizations could better utilize the information and technology available to effectively communicate to the public.
