Learning Labs

These funds are intended to set up learning labs at select recreation centers for computer access, printing, additional supplies, and technical support to increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities for youth and adult populations. Training will be included for STEM programs, GED training, job training, employment application assistance, college or trade school application assistance, educational courses, financial literacy, business development, etc. These funds are being allocated towards the purchase of computers, tablets, printers, and other software and equipment necessary to set up learning labs at all city rec centers. Up to $192K of these funds are being allocated through an RFP seeking providers to manage the learning labs and provide computer skills training and connect individuals to other educational opportunities.
