Janet Bradley
Resident Interview for 2208 Mullanphy Street
Janet Bradley raised her family at 2208 Mullanphy Street, which is within the NGA footprint. Her father was a bass violinist, who played with Count Basie. Janet attended Catholic schools, which integrated in 1947. She shares her memories of a vibrant neighborhood, when residents had access to groceries, churches, health centers, community centers, and other amenities. Her husband Charles, also shares his memories of what it was like to live in the neighborhood.
