August is at the tail end of summer but events around the city are still humming throughout the month. Below are some of the more interesting and fun events happening throughout the city in the month of August.

Blues at the Arch by the National Blues Museum

The partnership between the Gateway Arch Park Foundation, the National Blues Museum, and the National Park Service brings renowned blues artists to the Arch grounds for free concerts on Fridays in August

Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Gateway Arch National Park, North Gateway by the Eads Bridge.

 

Festival of Nations

This August, more than 125,000 visitors will gather for two days to celebrate the many cultures of our region’s newcomers and long-timers. Annually, the International Institute produces the festival in collaboration with more than 100 local ethnic and international organizations. 
 
Dates:  Saturday, Aug 24th &  Sunday, August 25th 
Time: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Location: At Tower Grove Park near Grand and Arsenal streets
