Hodiamont Cycle Track Improvement Project

The City of St. Louis is embarking on this interim project to make a cycle track connection between the MetroLink station at Delmar and the Hodiamont Tracks at Gwen B. Giles Park.

Project Overview

The City of St. Louis is embarking on this interim project to make a cycle track connection between the MetroLink station at Delmar and the Hodiamont Tracks at Gwen B. Giles Park. A future Great Rivers Greenway project will remake the Hodiamont Tracks. The design is now complete. When built, the project will include a cycle track (a two-lane roadway for bikes).

Project Objectives

  • Hodiamont Cycle Track Banner Create a safe, protected bikeway between Delmar Boulevard and the Hodiamont Tracks
  • Improve traffic safety by reducing excessive vehicle speeds in the corridor
  • Improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians
  • Update pavement markings, including crosswalks
  • Allow more residents to use the corridor to connect to nearby amenities

Project Schedule

  • Design / Engineering Period: Fall 2022 through Summer 2023
  • Public Engagement Period: May 16 through June 16, 2023
  • Construction Start: Spring/Summer 2024
