The St. Louis Artworks Youth Apprenticeship offers a holistic approach to involving youth members in artistic expression.

Program Overview

St. Louis Artworks offers a comprehensive and transformative apprenticeship program for youth in the City of St. Louis. The program is focused is on four key areas: arts education, employment training/job-readiness, life skills (including financial literacy), and social-emotional health.

Teaching artists will engage with youth in hands-on arts training and education with the goal of increasing their visual arts knowledge, workforce and entrepreneurial skills, and overall well-being.

An art therapist will conduct regular group and individual sessions with apprentices that support apprentices' emotional and psychological needs. The primary goal of the program is to help each apprentice reach their fullest potential.

The program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

Youth aged 14-19 who reside in the City of St. Louis.
