St. Louis City Municipal Court Reduces Virtual Court Usage Starting November 4, 2024

Beginning November 4, court dates in Courts 2 and 3 will be in person. Beginning January 2, 2025, most court dates will be in person.

Beginning November 4, 2024, court dates in Court 2 and Court 3 will be in person. Beginning January 2, 2025, most court dates in all St. Louis City Municipal Court will be in person.

  • In-person court dates require the defendant to attend court in person, rather than virtually, at 1520 Market, St. Louis, MO 63104.
  • Virtual court dates will be scheduled only upon written request, for good cause shown, and only with the approval of a judge. 

If you received a traffic citation, a Metro fare violation citation, or a citation issued by a police officer, you can look at the Division number shown in the upper right-hand corner of the front of the citation to find out whether your first court date is in-person or virtual.

  • If the Division number is 1, 2, 3, or 4, your first court date is in person.
  • If the Division number is V1, V2, V3 or V4 your first court date is for a virtual appearance.
  • If you received a non-traffic charge by information in the mail, the courtroom will be shown on the top right side.
