The St. Louis City Board of Elections is seeking applicants for Temporary Warehouse Associates.  This temporary full time warehouse associate role is critical to the operations leading up to and during the election season. The position involves physical tasks, driving, and equipment management. 

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance and Warehousing: Help maintain all voting equipment, including ballot boxes, printer modules, polling place supplies, and all other items related to an election. 

  2. Inventory Management: Help maintain an up-to-date inventory of all election equipment and related supplies by completing inventory assignments as directed by your supervisor.

  3. Secure and organize equipment.
  4. Perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders, lifting items up to 40 pounds, and pushing equipment.
  5. Election Day Preparations: Prepare all voting equipment used for each election. Follow directives of supervisor to insure delivery of early voting equipment.
  6. Drive to and from designated locations as required; must hold a valid  driver’s license.
  7. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the flexibility to  work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Overtime will be required two weeks out from elections.
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift and push up to 40 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Availability for full time flexible hours, including evenings and weekends + overtime as needed.
  • Experience working in a warehouse (or similar) environment preferred, not required.
Compensation

$17.50/hour

Interview Process

Initial phone interview followed by an in-person interview.

Start Date

- Ideal start date: February 4.

- Absolute latest start date: February 10.

Note: This is a temporary role with employment typically ending after the election season. You must pass a background check to be hired.
