More international service returns to STL this weekend
American and Frontier Airlines begin service to the Caribbean

Starting this Saturday, December 19, American Airlines and Frontier Airlines will begin international seasonal service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). American will be flying to Cancun International Airport (CUN). Frontier Airlines will be flying to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic.
American Airlines will operate its CUN flights on Saturdays from December 19, 2020, through April 3, 2021. Departures from STL to CUN are scheduled at approximately 11:54 a.m. and return flights from CUN will land at STL at approximately 7:35 p.m. Frontier's flights will operate Wednesdays and Saturdays through July 2021.
“We’re excited American and Frontier Airlines have added these international destinations,” said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, STL Director. “Both Cancun and Punta Cana are important leisure destinations for many people who travel in our region. Flights like these not only bring added service and competitive fares to STL, it also shows the continued recognition of the strength of this airport.”
American Airlines currently serves six destinations from STL and has 19 percent market share of enplaned passengers. While Frontier Airlines serves five destinations from STL and has five percent market share of enplaned passengers.
