Description

Sarah Potenza is a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter who can handle pop, blues, soul, country and Americana with equal amounts of aplomb. She’s a songwriter, a bold, brassy singer, a businesswoman, a proud, loud-mouthed Italian-American from Providence, Rhode Island, with roots in Nashville and an audience that stretches across the Atlantic. Sarah first entered the national spotlight in the USA as a contestant on season 8 of The Voice. Before joining the popular reality television singing contest, Potenza had spent the preceding seven years fronting her band Sarah & the Tall Boys. After relocating to Nashville with her husband, she began honing in on her own song writing skills and quickly became a favourite at the legendary Bluebird Cafe and the Music City Roots program. In 2021, Sarah Potenza accepted an invitation to appear on season 16 of America’s Got Talent where she performed a jaw dropping interpretation of the Mary Gauthier song Worthy, wowing judges (including Simon Cowell) and cementing her reputation as having one of the most incredible voices of the modern age. Despite all the glitz and glamour, Sarah still likes to perform her original music to appreciative audiences and with her husband, Ian Crossman.
