Description
Isaac Eicher is a mandolinist in the Nashville acoustic music scene, among the best players of our era. However, Eicher occupies a class of his own, having developed jazz and latin music on the mandolin in a way that has never been done before. If technique, tone and taste weren’t enough, Eicher is also a masterful improviser and composer, which is on full display in his most recent studio album “Accents,” featuring some notable collaborators like Victor Wooten, Rory Hoffman, and Eli Bishop. Eicher has been cultivating a sound since childhood that draws on diverse musical influences, and has culminated in a precise, yet soulful sound. If you are a fan of stringed instruments or jazz, you won’t want to miss a chance to hear him.
Isaac will be accompanied by Lorenzo Piccone on guitar and Patrick Atwater on upright bass, performing swinging acoustic jazz, Gypsy jazz, latin and original music. The group draws on vast musical influences, but think David Grisman meets Django Reinhardt meets Chris Thile.
