Otis Williams Receives “Pillar Award” from SBDC
For Dedication Toward Economic Development

St. Louis, MO–The annual Small Business Development Center was held on March 21, 2018 at the T-Rex Building. Otis Williams, Executive Director of St. louis Development Corporation was awarded with the “Pillar Award” for his contribution and dedication towards the economic development of the City of St. Louis.
Williams stated, “This is a wonderful and surprising honor. Surprising, because I had plans on attending the ceremony but completely shocked that I was the person receiving the award.”
The Small Business Development Center delivers up-to-date counseling, training and technical assistance in all aspects of small business management. It also makes special efforts to reach members of socio-economically disadvantaged groups, e.g., veterans, women, and the disabled. Assistance is provided to both current or potential small business owners.
Kevin Wilson, Executive Director of the SBDC stated, “this award is quite fitting for Otis Williams as he has been a pillar for me, both personally and professionally, since my days of working at the SLDC. It gives me great pleasure to see him awarded in this way”
