Roger Alison Retires

Plans to devote more time to his two favorite organizations -- Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6137 and Ozark Trail Association

 After much thought and consideration, Roger Alison retired from the City of St. Louis effective January 30, 2015.  Following are a few pictures from his retirement party.

"Whereas, Roger's integrity, commitment to professionalism, and dedication to the City earned him the respect and admiration of his co-workers and the community, and it is my great pleasure to honor him for his outstanding contributions to our City and to extend best wishes to him in his retirement," proclaimed Mayor Francis G. Slay.

Roger graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1976.  Following graduation he served for eight years in the United States Army in the Corps of Engineers.  After his time in the service, he worked as a civil engineer for firms in Chicago, Kansas City and Maplewood before beginning his career with the City of St. Louis in June of 1989 in the City's Department of Public Service, President's Office. 

Since 2003, Roger has been a member of the Ozark Trail Association.  He has served in many capacities starting with trail builder and is now the president of the organization.  The organization builds trails in the Ozarks of Missouri for the hiking, biking and equestrian enjoyment of many.  He plans to be very active with this organization after retirement. 

Congratulations, Roger, and "happy trails" to you and Deborah as you move into this new phase of your life.
