ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY'S NOT SO QUIET! CONCERT SERIES PRESENTS FOLK ARTISTS THE UNION ELECTRIC

The St. Louis Public Library's popular NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series is proud to present an evening of original folk music by The Union Electric.  The concert takes place in Central Library's Auditorium, 1301 Olive Street, on November 20 at 7 p.m.  The show is FREE and open to the public.  Seating is first-come, first-served.

The Union Electric provides a soundtrack as moody and changeable as St. Louis weather.  Formed in 2009 by songwriter Tim Rakel and guitarist Glenn Burleigh, they were soon joined by bassist Melinda Cooper and drummer Mic Boshans. They have released several seven-inch vinyl singles as well as their CD Time Is Gold on Rankoutsider Records.

Winner of the 2014 RFT Music Award for Best St. Louis Folk Band, the group also recently started a local label, Extension Chord Records.

An all ages concert, The Union Electric's performance is part of the seventh season of the NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series, which presents exceptional FREE live music every third Thursday in Central Library's Auditorium.

MAKE AN EVENING OF IT!  Before the concert, music lovers are encouraged to enjoy mouthwatering food and drinks with an ethnic twist from Urban Eats Café Central, the newest addition to Central Library. It's the perfect way to satisfy an early evening appetite and get in the mood for tasty tunes!
