ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY'S NOT SO QUIET! CONCERT SERIES WELCOMES ST. LOUIS' HOTTEST ELECTRIC BLUES BAND
The St. Louis Public Library's popular NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series is proud to host St. Louis' hottest electric blues band, Kingdom Brothers for the April concert. The show will take place at 7 p.m. April 21 in Central's Auditorium. Doors open 6:30 p.m.
Kingdom Brothers proves the blues don't have to be sad. Bob Walther formed the group in 2005, reaching out to seasoned musicians who wanted to do something different. The band credits their notable sound to the soulful vocal delivery of songwriter Chris Shepherd on lead vocal and rhythm guitar, a solid rhythm section with drummer Joe Warmbrodt, the keyboard magic of Stan Gill and the bottleneck slide of Ron Roskowske. Watch, listen and be amazed as Kingdom Brothers create a memorable, soulful night of blues you'll want to experience over and over again. Fans of blues music can expect a set list filled with traditional gospel and blues numbers, along with incredible Kingdom Brothers originals from the band's 2008 CD release Shine a Light.
Kingdom Brothers have appeared at BB's Jazz, Blues and Soups, Harrah's Casino, The Bottleneck Blues Bar, Taste of St. Louis, St. Louis Art Fair and will be the headliner at this year's St. Louis' Home Fires - Wildwood Barbeque Bash.
The concert is open to all-ages and is part of the ninth season of the NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series, which presents exceptional FREE LIVE music every third Thursday in Central Library's Auditorium.
