Free Blood Pressure Screenings for City Employees

High blood pressure often has no warning signs or symptoms, and many people do not realize they have it.

 Sharon Brightfield from BarnesCare provides blood pressure screenings at the following locations each month:

1st Tuesday

  • Refuse - South, 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.
  • Streets/ESD, 3 to 4 p.m.

2nd Tuesday

  • City Hall Rotunda, 9 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Carnahan - Room 919, 11 a.m. to Noon
  • Airport - Main Terminal, 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Airport - Materials Mgt., 2:30 to 3 p.m.

3rd Tuesday

  • 1520 Market- 1st Floor Lobby, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
  • Forest Park Admin., 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

4th Tuesday

  • Water - Chain of Rocks, Noon to 1 p.m.
  • MSI, 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.
  • Water - McRee, 3 to 4 p.m.
According to the World Heart Federation, globally, nearly one billion people have high blood pressure.  It is one of the most important causes of premature death worldwide.  People with hypertension are more likely to develop complications of diabetes.  Don't be caught unaware.  Get your pressure checked.
