The loss in pressure will mean higher temperatures in many downtown buildings.

The City of St. Louis Water Division has been on the scene since earlyFriday morning working to restore water pressure to the affected buildings.

The Water Division is in the process of adjusting pressure in other parts of the City's network of water pipes to compensate for the main break.

The system is expected to be stabilized within hours.
