Proclamation
This Proclamation is to advise that December 24, 2020 will be a holiday and St Louis City offices will be closed.
WHEREAS, 2020 has been a very challenging year for City employees, and we are so thankful for their service to our residents and businesses, and
WHEREAS, many places of business throughout the City, Region, State and Nation, both public and private, will also be closed on December 24, 2020, and
WHEREAS, Governor Mike Parson and President Donald Trump have closed State and Federal offices on December 24, 2020, and
WHEREAS, declaring December 24, 2020 a holiday will provide time off for city employees and their families to enjoy one another, and will reward City employees for their hard work throughout this very challenging year, and
NOW THEREFORE, I, Lyda Krewson, Mayor of the City of St. Louis, pursuant to Charter Article VII and Ordinance 69189 Section 16(a) declare that Thursday, December 24, 2020, is a holiday for the employees of the City of St Louis.
