ST. LOUIS -- The winner and finalists of Mayor Francis G. Slay’s annual Holiday Card Design Contest will be honored at a reception in City Hall in the Mayor’s Office at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14.  Nine-year-old Kayla Lokeomanivong from Oak Hill Elementary submitted the winning design, which will be used for the design of Mayor & Mrs. Slay’s 2012 holiday cards.

Mayor Slay will present each student will a certificate of achievement, and Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier has provided a complimentary gift for each of the finalists.

“First and foremost, I’d like to thank all the students for submitting an entry to my Holiday Card Design Contest,” Mayor Slay said.  “One of my favorite holiday traditions is going through the design entries, and every year, it’s very difficult to narrow down all the entries to the top 10.  I congratulate Kayla for winning this year’s contest, and I am proud to use her design on my 2012 holiday card.”
