The Muscular Dystrophy Association plays an important role in raising funds for worldwide research, diagnostics and follow up care for individuals with neuromuscular disorders. The MDA also offers support groups, activities and many other programs for families impacted by muscular dystrophy. One of the annual fundraising events is the fun MDA Lock Up.

Sarah Gamblin-Luig of the City Emergency Management Agency agreed to be "arrested" last month for having a "big heart."  She spent an hour in the MDA Lock Up at Copia Urban Winery & Market on Washington Avenue in Downtown St. Louis raising "bail" money.

"Many thanks to everyone who helped my fundraising efforts for this year's MDA campaign," said Gamblin-Luig.
