Most of the developments listed have received funding or incentives from the City of St. Louis. Assisting development in the City is the core goal of St. Louis Development Corporation.

Formerly a Teamsters Union location, Council Plaza is on the National Register of Historic Places. These buildings were built in 1967 and are located on a pie-shaped piece of land in between I-64 and Forest Park Avenue.

This project will take place in two phases. Phase 1, which has recently been completed, consists of the conversion of the two story building on the west side of the site into student housing for St. Louis University. The facility includes 120 student housing units, 7,200 sq. ft. of retail space, and 380 parking spaces.

Phase 2 of the project contemplates the renovation of one of the towers into 225 elderly housing units.
