The Classification and Compensation Section is responsible for monitoring and modifying the classification plan to recognize workforce changes, new technology, reorganization and gradual changes in job assignment, and Department of Labor compliance; analyzing, preparing and administering the City’s pay plan; and providing uniform scales of pay for all positions. This section also monitors the on-call, shift, overtime, and weekend pay for the City Civil Service Departments.
