According to the March 2014 edition of The Buzz, 79 million Americans are at risk for diabetes, with one in three having prediabetes.  Learn your risk for this disease by visiting the Not Me mobile truck, sponsored by United Healthcare.  The truck will be in the City Hall Parking Lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26.  Employees will receive an A1C test, which checks for elevated blood sugar, and receive a one-on-one consultation reviewing their results.  No fasting is required for this test.

This service is available to United Healthcare plan members at no additional cost as part of their health plan.  It is asked that participants please bring their health plan ID cards to the event.  Pre-register for this event and select your time slot by calling 1-888-926-6099 ext. 326.  All participants will receive a Bee-Fit tote.

Visit the Not Me mobile truck on March 26 and tell diabetes "not me."

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ryan J. Lord, Wellness Coordinator, at LordR@stlouis-mo.gov or (314) 622-4849.
