The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present thought-provoking author William H. Chafe as part of its October Author Series.

William H. Chafe discusses and signs his new book,Bill and Hillary: The Politics of the Personalas part of the "Maryville Talks Books" series. The event takes place at the Schlafly Branch, 225 N. Euclid Ave.on October 17 at 7 p.m.

Chafe boldly argues that the trajectory of the Clintons' political lives can be understood only through the prism of their personal lives. From the day they first met at Yale Law School, Bill and Hillary were inseparable, even though their relationship was inherently volatile. Always tempestuous, it had as many lows as highs; from near divorce to stunning electoral and political successes.

Co-sponsored by Maryville University, Left Bank Book, St. Louis Public Radio, and HEC-TV. Books available for purchase courtesy of Left Bank Books.
