The 28th Annual National Night Out Against Crime & Drugs is set for Tuesday, Aug. 2.  On that night millions of Americans across the country will gather on their blocks to have fun, enjoy good food and get to know each other better.

The Department of Public Safety Neighborhood Stabilization Team is encouraging everyone to participate in this annual event.  If you haven't already done so, designate one person from your block to register your block party.  There are several ways to register:

  1. online at http://stlouis-mo.gov/nst/nno.cfm (see Associated Document elsewhere on this page)
  2. by fax at (314) 613-3120
  3. or filling out a registration form and mailing it to:  National Night Out, 1520 Market Street, Room 4000, St. Louis, MO  63103
  4. Also, you may register nationally by going to http://www.natw.org/ or by calling 800-NITE-OUT.  If you register nationally, then you will still have to register with the City.
Need some party ideas? Here are a few suggestions:  give an award to the oldest person on the block, BBQ, Bicycle Race, chalk drawing contest, other contests, sports, water play, karaoke, invite a guest speaker.  The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

The last day to register is Friday, July 15.
