Construction Division

The mission of the Construction Division is to assure that public works projects for the City of St. Louis are completed in a quality, cost effective, and timely manner, and to assure the compliance of those projects with current architectural, engineering, and construction standards.

The Construction Division staff works with private contractors and consultants, other City agencies, railroads, and utility companies to complete construction work for City streets, bridges, alleys, sidewalks, parks, correctional and court facilities, parking garages, the Convention Center, Fire Department facilities, and other public buildings, facilities, and structures.

The Construction Division coordinates City projects with representatives of utility companies, community organizations, and private businesses to minimize disruptions to all, and to reduce the associated project costs.
