The St. Louis Fire Department will take delivery of 14 Broselow Pediatric Equipment Bags at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 during a presentation by St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation at St. Louis Fire Department Headquarters, 1421 N. Jefferson. The St. Louis Fire Department has long recognized the need for pediatric equipment bags. St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation funded a grant for nearly $10,000 to purchase the Broselow Pediatric Equipment Bags.

These 14 Broselow Pediatric Equipment Bags will provide all 12 St. Louis Fire Department ambulances and both Field Supervisors with the ability to better care for pediatric patients.

The Broselow Pediatric Equipment Bags each include 28 size-specific treatment modules organized in a heavy duty ALS equipment bag. Each includes size-specific tools for I.V., intubation and O2 delivery, color-coded to match the child’s size.

Interviews and photo opportunities available.  You are cordially invited to assign a reporter and/or camera/videographer.
