Michael McMillan to Chair Upcoming Professional Networking Reception for Better Family Life

Michael McMillan will serve as the Chairman of Better Family Life’s upcoming Professional Networking Reception.  Better Family Life (BFL) is a non-profit, 29-year old organization that works to create individual and community empowerment. McMillan is a product of Better Family Life’s training. He participated in their African American Leadership Academy as a teenager and has continued to support them throughout his career over a 25-year period.

            The BFL Professional Networking Reception was created by James Clark, Director of Outreach for Better Family Life. Both James and Michael were among the original youth members of BFL. Michael credits Better Family Life for many of the principles of integrity, racial pride and community re-investment lessons he learned as a youth.

            The focus of BFL’s Professional Networking Reception is to serve as role models for young professionals and to recruit professionals to lend their expertise and resources to benefit the troubled youth of St. Louis. The Professional Networking Reception will also take an active part in fundraising for the soon to open 64,000 sq. ft. BFL Cultural Education and BusinessCenter.
